Thanks and Best Regards,
Maiko Yamamoto from NHK World We Love Japanese Songs! 2013
Masami Okui sang the opening theme songs for the animes Revolutionary Girl Utena and Di Gi Charat, among others. American-born JERO is Japan’s first black enka singer. I first saw him on television during a trip to Japan, and was so impressed I rushed out and bought two copies of his CD (one for me, one for my mom).
Needless to say, I am very excited that Haruka Matsumoto will be appearing on NHK World! Read more about her video here, and more about the We Love Japanese Songs! 2013 contest. Thanks to Randall E. and everyone at NHK World!
